Large Scale DDoS Attack Affecting Cluster C8

RESOLVED

2015-NOV-10 23:00UTC (RESOLVED)

The situation remains stable as the large scale DDoS attack has completely subsided. We remain on high alert and vigilant in case of a recurrence. This incident is now being marked as resolved.

2015-NOV-10 19:01UTC (RE-OPENED)

The large scale DDoS attack has recommenced on cluster C8 and in order to avoid complete loss of network to our datacenter we have temporarily null-routed this cluster. Our network engineering team is working closely with our upstream provider in mitigating the attack and to get connectivity restored as soon as possible.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and will post an update as soon as possible. We would like to thank you for your understanding during this serious incident.

2015-NOV-08 21:32UTC (RE-OPENED)

In order to protect the upstream network, our upstream provider has currently null routed all traffic to the public facing firewalls of cluster C8, resulting in loss of public connectivity for this cluster. We are closely monitoring the situation and expecting our upstream provider to remove the null route as soon as the large scale attack has subsided.

Our C8 Cluster at our London Data Center is currently experiencing a large scale Denial of Service Attack which is causing connectivity issues. Our network engineering team is working with our upstream provider in mitigating the attack and to get connectivity issues resolved as soon as possible. All websites hosted on cluster C8 are currently experiencing degraded performance and connectivity.
