UPDATES & ANNOUNCEMENTS

On the 15th September 2015 WordPress 4.3.1 was released to the public. This update was a security release which tackled several cross-scripting vulnerabilities, that were identified in previous WordPress releases. Further to this, 26 bugs were also identified and fixed making this current release the strongest and most stable version.

How This Affects Pressidium Customers

In our previous post, we set out our schedule for upgrading Pressidium customers to the new 4.3 version of WordPress. A few things have changed since then, including the following:

  • We are automatically updating all of our customer installations that are already running 4.3, to WordPress 4.3.1.
  • The mass upgrade which we have scheduled for Monday 21st September 2015, will go ahead as planned. The difference being, you'll be updated to WordPress 4.3.1 instead of 4.3.
  • As of today, all new WordPress installations created on our platform will be running 4.3.1.

What You Need To Do

If you haven't yet manually updated your WordPress sites, you don't need to do anything at all. You'll be updated to the latest stable version next Monday. Customers who chose to manually update, have been automatically upgraded to 4.3.1.

For further information on the changes made in the latest upgrade, please take a look at the WordPress codex for 4.3.1.
